new translation project - Nursultan Nazarbayev

I am translating The President of Kazakhstan, Nursulatan Nazarbayev's book on questions of Kazakh independence and nationhood. One of the great advantages of Russian is that it opens doors onto other cultures that use Russian as a second or state language. eg last year I translated conference papers for 'The World of Mugham' festival in Baku - which turned me into a passionate lover of this form of music (going to concert tomorrow at st Martin-in-the-Fields). And all because, 30 years ago, I decided to learn Russian.
